Custom Metal Designs LLC in Oakland, FL is seeking an experienced MIG and TIG Welder for the 2nd shift (2 PM–10:30 PM). You will read blueprints, weld steel and aluminum, and ensure parts meet exact drawings.

Candidates should have 2+ years welding experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a strong attention to detail. ISO/OSHA standards familiarity and a teamwork mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of welding experience.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of bolt grades (e.g., Grade 5, Grade 8).
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills, with good communication.
• Basic math skills.
• Adapt and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player and contribute to a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel and aluminum using MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding processes.
• Read blueprints and interpret multi-view drawings, layouts, and welding symbols.
• Ensure products meet dimensional specifications of drawings.
• Calculate and verify dimensions of metal parts prior to welding.
• Set up and position parts, and secure components before welding.
• Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and cleanliness of work area.
• Follow ISO and OSHA standards related to job responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
