Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Welder (Mig and Structure) for its Decatur, IL operation. You will join steel components or metal plates using MIG and other welding processes per blueprints and work orders.

Responsibilities include operating GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, and SMAW, preheating pieces, and ensuring weld quality. 2–4 years journeyman experience required; federal employment rights apply; complete safety and cleanup tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level welding experience (2–4 years) as stated in job description.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Join steel components or metal plates using welding procedures and blueprints or instructions.
• Operate and adjust welding equipment for various processes as required.
• Prepare weld joints, preheat pieces, and clean weld areas.
• Inspect welds and perform post-weld cleanup and finishing as directed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
