Job Summary:

The Midwifery Program Faculty manages clinical site arrangements for MSN students, teaches in clinical environments, and monitors clinical training effectiveness. The Assistant Professor is a respected faculty member, mentoring colleagues and students, demonstrating educational competence, and contributing to professional service and scholarship. Responsibilities include supervising clinical students across various healthcare settings and maintaining respectful relationships with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Align behaviors with the “Four Words”: Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship.
• Assist in acquiring and maintaining clinical rotation sites for the FNP and MSN programs.
• Ensure all clinical documentation is complete and accurate.
• Conduct clinical site visits for online students.
• Refine clinical rotation syllabi and develop end-of-rotation exams with faculty oversight.
• Maintain electronic student clinical records.
• Update practicum logs on the Typhon Portal for accreditation and compliance with CCNE standards.
• Review and update the Clinical Year Manual biannually or as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

• Certified Nurse Midwife
• MSN
• Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution, in a field related to the teaching area or contributing to the professional role
• Experience teaching in higher education nursing programs
• Current valid State of Florida nursing license or RN certification with national certification
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice as a master's prepared nurse
