Job summary

A prestigious design studio is seeking a Midweight Interior Designer to join their team in New York. This position focuses on creating sophisticated hospitality and restaurant interiors, contributing through all stages of the design process from concept to execution. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, has at least 3 years of relevant experience, and is proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Our client is a highly regarded design studio celebrated for its sophisticated and imaginative interiors across hospitality and high-end residential sectors. Renowned for their masterful use of texture, pattern, and distinctive detailing, they create immersive environments that are both memorable and meticulously crafted.

They are currently seeking a talented and driven Midweight Interior Designer to join their team, with a focus on elevated hospitality and restaurant interiors. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across all stages of the design process – from concept development through to construction administration – on standout hospitality projects worldwide.

This is an ideal position for a designer with strong technical capabilities, an elevated design sensibility, and a keen eye for detail who is eager to grow within a well-respected and creatively led studio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to all phases of the design process, from initial concept through construction administration
  • Develop and manage FF&E packages, including material sourcing, specifications, and procurement coordination
  • Prepare detailed design documentation and conceptual sketches using AutoCAD and related tools
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients, vendors, and consultants throughout each project
  • Collaborate closely with internal design teams to ensure a cohesive and aligned creative vision
  • Represent the studio in meetings, site visits, and presentations with confidence and professionalism
Key Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio in hospitality interiors
  • Solid understanding of FF&E, custom millwork, and construction documentation
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp; hand sketching and rendering skills are a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
