Job description

The Shuttle Driver transports passengers to and from assigned locations within the Midtown Manhattan area. Depending on the contractual need, this could be around or near commercial buildings, hospitals, sports arenas, entertainment venues, educational facilities, or warehouses.

Pay

$24.85 per hour

Shifts

1. Two different shifts available
2. Monday - Friday, no weekend
3. Shift times: 6AM to 2PM or 11AM to 7PM

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Six (6) months of prior experience required
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
• This role requires a CDL class B or C with 16 passenger endorsement

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) years of prior passenger shuttle experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Transport, load, and unload passengers, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for passengers with special needs (e.g., wheelchair lifts and tie-downs)
• Assist passengers with luggage loading and unloading as needed
• Inspect vehicles regularly for unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; perform routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities
• Meet patrons needing assistance at various airport locations and lots
• Inspect shuttle for preexisting damage and record information using electronic devices or manual tickets
• Provide excellent customer service, respond courteously to guest inquiries, give directions to destinations
• Maintain and enforce bus evacuation plans and coordinate evacuation activities as necessary
• Report incidents or claims immediately to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead
• Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment and fuel logs
• Maintain a clean work environment, disinfect shuttle after each use
• Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, safety standards, and compliance
