Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation offers internship and co-op opportunities for high-performing students in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum/Natural Gas, or Electrical Engineering. You will work on real projects within MPLX, supporting field and design activities at pipelines, stations, and processing facilities, with hands-on mentorship from experienced professionals.

On-site 40 hours per week, with opportunities for multiple terms.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum/Natural Gas, or Electrical Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.
• Will require time spent in the field monitoring and managing activities as required in various areas of our midstream natural gas and light crude facilities.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.
• MIN - $33.54 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour

• Project scope development, including estimating, scheduling, design, contractor engagement and construction oversight.
• DOT-regulated pipeline integrity and maintenance programs.
• Field work at pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, gas processing plants and related facilities.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum/Natural Gas, or Electrical Engineering
