Job summary

Neyret, Inc. in Sugar Grove, IL is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Design Engineer with field experience to join our in-house manufacturing team. This in-person role supports the design, testing, and implementation of automated systems for diverse production environments.

You will design and automate assembly systems, lead cross-functional discussions, oversee the machine design lifecycle, and maintain customer communications while contributing to ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 3–5 years related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• US work authorized; No VISA sponsorship.
• Proficient with MS Office and SolidWorks (2025).

Responsibilities

• Produce, review, and update mechanical designs and drawings to specs.
• Design and implement automated systems for manufacturing environments.
• Oversee lifecycle of machine design from planning to testing.
• Lead discussions with leadership to determine automation goals.
• Maintain customer approvals and transmittals.
• Support automation tech with component upgrades.
• Other engineering tasks as directed.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Design Engineer with field experience to work out of our Sugar Grove, IL plant. This is an in-person position.

We are looking for motivated self-starters to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Produce, review, and update mechanical designs and drawings in accordance with required specifications, standards, customer comments, and internal design models
• Design and implement automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of the machine design process, from planning and design to testing and implementation
• Lead collaborative discussions between leadership and key stakeholders to determine automation capabilities and goals
• Maintain customer correspondence including approvals, changes, agreements and transmittals
• Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades
• Other engineering/manufacturing related tasks as deemed appropriate by management

Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or similar related degree)

• Must have the ability to measure and model new and existing mechanical components
• Be U.S. work authorized. No VISA sponsorship is available for this role.
