Job summary

MORRIS P HEBERT LLC is seeking an experienced leader to manage field and office surveying operations in Midland, TX. You will supervise project managers, coordinate resources, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of survey products.

Responsibilities include client liaison, assisting business development, and guiding staff through planning, reporting, and compliance while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of surveying experience in field and office environments.
• Strong project management, leadership, and supervision experience.
• Knowledge of survey operations, pipeline construction, mapping, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with Trimble, AutoCAD, and related survey tools.
• Understanding of state land survey requirements, boundary surveying, topographic surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee field and office survey operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.


• Supervise project managers and staff in project planning, scheduling, proposal development, cost estimating, and execution.


• Serve as the primary liaison with clients, stakeholders, and external agencies.


• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives.


• Coordinate personnel, equipment, and resources to meet project and operational needs.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality assurance/quality control requirements.


• Conduct performance evaluations, provide training and mentorship, and support employee development.


• Review and approve survey deliverables, reports, maps, legal descriptions, and professional service proposals.


• Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and assist in resolving technical and operational challenges.


• Establish operational goals, improve procedures, and promote a collaborative, high-performing work environment.


• Travel to project sites, client meetings, and field locations as required.
