Job description

Middleware Engineer - TIBCO (USC or GC only)
  • Contract

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in installation, administration, and configuration of TIBCO Enterprise Service Bus (including BusinessWorks) & associated Messaging technology (EMS); MuleSoft ESB and AWS Cloud experience a plus.
  • Experience in installation, administration, configuration, performance tuning, and clustering of portal and application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat).
  • Experience in the design and production support of Java/J2EE based applications.
  • Understanding of application development processes, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Strong production support experience in Middleware technologies.
  • Experience with heterogeneous operating systems such as UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
  • Basic understanding of security technologies (Digital Certificates, LDAP, PKI, SSO, SSL).
  • Hands-on experience in a multi-tiered, continuous availability architectural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards.
  • Availability for 24x7 on-call support rotations.

Job Duties:

  • Implement, configure, tune, cluster, and maintain J2EE application and portal environments including TIBCO, MuleSoft, IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, & IIS.
  • Balance hardware, network, and software layers to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions meeting uptime, performance, and functionality requirements.
  • Utilize administrative tools to manage enterprise applications.
  • Monitor server applications, troubleshoot, and resolve issues using logs and tools.
  • Perform migration and upgrade analysis, including root cause analysis for production issues.
  • Implement migration, consolidation, and upgrade strategies, including source to target migrations and cutovers.
  • Maintain 99.99% availability of web and integration services.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions on an enterprise scale.
  • Evaluate system architecture needs and provide recommendations.
  • Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
