Job summary

V Group Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Middleware Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise middleware integrations for the Department of Social Services. This onsite role requires collaboration across ITS offices, development teams, and vendor partners.

You will create system design specs, APIs, and data flows, while maintaining secure configurations and documentation for complex middleware environments. 35 hours/week, 36-month engagement, onsite in Brooklyn.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of application development and middleware expertise.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL Server databases.
• Knowledge of SOA trends, XML/JSON/REST/SOAP and WSDL usage.

Responsibilities

• Develop System Design Specifications.
• Prepare design documentation meeting system and security requirements.
• Create detailed specifications for integrations, databases, networks, security.
• Develop APIs and backend database components.
• Build integrations between agency systems and external platforms.
• Provide programming support to technical staff and projects.
• Perform health checks and monitor middleware performance.
• Investigate and resolve integration issues with vendors/teams.
• Develop training environments for staff onboarding.
• Test integrations and supported middleware components.
