Job summary

Ábaco Strategy is looking for a Middleware Oracle Fusion Engineer to join their team in the Washington, DC Metro Region. This role involves managing infrastructure for Oracle Fusion Middleware products and supporting legacy applications with Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Unix/Linux, excellent project management skills, and the ability to provide 24/7 support for critical systems. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates who pass a background check will be preferred.

Job Description

Middleware Oracle Fusion Engineer for a major financial banking institution in the Washington, DC Metro Region.

Responsibilities

• Manage, administer, design, maintain, support, and architect infrastructure for Oracle Fusion Middleware products.
• Provide architecture, design, development, and production support for legacy applications leveraging the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g technology stack.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams, business analysts, DBAs, and developers to execute middleware services functionality, including SOA, ADF, JMS queue, and data migration.
• Design and engineer infrastructure to deliver highly available applications, including clustering and HA environments.
• Install, upgrade, and patch middleware software releases, and perform testing, tuning, and configuration of products such as WebLogic, Oracle BPM, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Access Manager, OWSM, and Oracle Portal.
• Monitor middleware components (RESTful Management Services, SOA, OSB) and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain security policies and SSO environments between external applications, Oracle WebLogic Server, and other Fusion middleware components.
• Handle JVM and memory management, tuning, diagnostics, and configuration.
• Provide 24/7 support via cell phone for severity-1 incidents.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Unix/Linux operating systems and strong shell‑scripting experience.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Middleware certification.
• ITIL Foundation certificate.
• Experience with cloud platform migration and Oracle Fusion 12c.
