Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and document the design and development of Middleware solutions that meet business and project needs using selected tools, providing expertise to, and coordinating efforts with internal and external customers.
  • Implementation, administration, and configuration of Middleware functionality using the chosen software and tools (e.g., Oracle SOA Middleware, Hazelcast).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production support incidents.
  • Troubleshoot performance and availability issues in a highly available environment.
  • Research, analyze, design, and implement technical solutions to meet current and future user requirements.
  • Provide level 2 and level 3 support, resolving incidents, establishing urgency, owning problems through resolution, and keeping clients informed.
  • Participate in project planning, work plan development, testing, and staffing.
  • Provide technical assistance on projects and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Assist and mentor less experienced Middleware Programmer Analysts.
  • Perform capacity planning and system optimization.
  • Coordinate with hosting providers and application development teams regarding web support.
  • Act as senior developer responsible for overall delivery of software components.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 10+ years in web services, application development, and large-scale software implementations.
  • 8+ years developing web services (SOAP/REST) and Java/J2EE applications preferred.
  • 5+ years in Java & J2EE application development.
  • Experience supporting SOA infrastructure and middleware tools.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (DB2, SQL).
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of owning projects independently.
  • Ability to work within standard and change management processes.

Compensation Range: The salary range is based on the company's good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on location, experience, and other factors. ($139,078-$173,826)

Working Days and Shift: Shift and hours to be determined, subject to change based on business needs.
