Job description

About Boundless Life

Boundless Life helps families live, work and learn together while exploring the world. We provide family-friendly homes, an education program that travels with the family, and a community of like-minded families in every destination.

Since our founding in 2021, we've grown to eight locations across Europe, Asia and Latin America, with a team of more than 200 people, and expanded our curriculum to cover children from the age of 18 months to 14 years.

Our Education Centres sit at the heart of it all, combining project-based and place-based learning for families who want more than a traditional school can offer.

The role

Education at Boundless Life places equal emphasis on academic and social-emotional skills, developing students who know themselves and their passions, can relate to others with empathy and compassion, and are true global citizens ready to make a difference in the world.

Trailblazers is our rapidly expanding Middle Years program, soon to be taught in six destinations globally. The program combines engaging project-based learning (Quests) rooted in the local environment with core academics delivered online, all underpinned by our global framework of standards and competencies.

This unique combination allows students to follow their passions, solve real-world problems, and fully experience the place they're living in, while opening up a new world of flexibility for families wishing to live a more global life.

As Middle Years Program Lead (Trailblazers), you'll be responsible for end-to-end program design, creating both the content and the global systems needed to ensure excellent delivery at scale for our unique community of learners.

Working closely with our Education Centre Directors (ECDs), educators, and other Program Leads, you'll be responsible not only for how students progress academically but also for how they grow as people.

Location & Travel
  • Location: Ideally based in one of our Boundless Life destinations in Europe. Remote candidates will also be considered, provided they can regularly work during European hours.
  • Travel: This role requires significant and regular travel across Boundless Life destinations to support program implementation, collaborate with local teams, and ensure consistent quality across locations.
Primary Responsibilities
Curriculum & Program Design
  • Own end-to-end design and implementation of the Trailblazers curriculum and all associated resources, built from the Boundless 8 competencies outwards.
  • Design unique and engaging project-based and place-based learning experiences that use each destination as a classroom.
  • Ensure the curriculum works as a coherent whole with the rest of the Boundless Continuum, while integrating the unique developmental needs and challenges of the age group.
  • Engage and manage freelance curriculum designers as needed to ensure all program goals are met.
Assessment & Learner Progress
  • Design the assessment approach for Trailblazers, covering both academic progress and social-emotional growth.
  • Capture and use learner data and feedback to identify gaps and continuously improve the design and implementation of the program.
  • Ensure systems are in place to enable consistent communication of student progress to relevant stakeholders across all locations.
Quality & Consistency at Scale
  • Set a clear, shared standard of what excellent Trailblazers delivery looks like.
  • Ensure policies and practices align with accreditation (WASC) requirements and any country-specific legal or regulatory constraints.
  • Design and deliver professional development that equips educators across all destinations to deliver Trailblazers effectively.
  • Collaborate with ECDs and build professional development systems that scale across multiple sites and new launches, ensuring quality does not depend on your direct presence.
Online Academics & Educational Technology
  • Select, evaluate, and manage the online education providers delivering Trailblazers' core subjects.
  • Lead the rollout of new educational technology in classrooms across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with educational technology developers and internal product teams, providing meaningful input into the design of future in-house learning tools.
Implementation Across Destinations
  • Support ECDs and the Head of Education Excellence in implementing Trailblazers effectively across all aspects of the classroom experience: academic, social-emotional, and behavioural.
  • Support Trailblazers launches in new locations, ensuring consistent experiences for students and families regardless of destination.
  • Travel regularly to destinations to understand our student population, gather on-the-ground feedback, support educators, and strengthen program delivery.
  • Act as the go-to Trailblazers expert for colleagues across Education, Real Estate, Interior Design, Admissions, Sales, and Marketing.
What's in it for you
  • Meaningful impact – Help shape an innovative Middle Years education program that supports children's academic and personal growth.
  • Curriculum innovation – Lead the development of project-based and place-based learning experiences across global destinations.
  • Global collaboration – Work alongside educators, education leaders, and cross-functional teams in an international environment.
  • Professional growth – Play a key role in shaping and scaling a rapidly expanding program.
  • Family benefits – Enjoy discounted tuition for your children at our Boundless Schools.

About you
Qualifications & Experience
  • Deep expertise in project-based learning, with several years of experience designing and delivering it successfully.
  • Deep expertise in curriculum development, including the successful implementation of new curricula.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning at scale, across multiple sites or locations.
  • Strong experience selecting online education providers and rolling out educational technology across multiple classrooms or sites.
  • Ideally, experience contributing to the development of online learning tools, such as collaborating with educational technology developers or providing substantial input into product design.
  • Strong understanding of Middle Years learners, both academically and developmentally.
  • Experience designing and implementing High School programs is a significant advantage, as we look to expand into these age groups in the future.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across our global destinations.
How You Work
  • Collaborative – You build programs with people, not for them, working closely with educators, ECDs, designers, and external partners.
  • Cross-functional – You work comfortably across Education, Product, Operations, Admissions, and Marketing, ensuring alignment around the Trailblazers program.
  • Whole-child focused – You care as much about student wellbeing and social-emotional growth as you do about academic achievement.
  • Built for scale – You design systems, resources, and training that work across multiple destinations, not just one.
  • Global start-up mindset – You thrive in a fast-moving environment where building systems and processes from scratch is part of the challenge.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check or equivalent.

What's next?
  • First call with our Recruitment team (30 min).
  • Interview with our Program Learning & Design team (60 min).
  • Interview with the Hiring Manager (60 min).
  • Final check-in with senior leadership, if required (60 min).

Our final steps include reference checks and a personality assessment. The assessment isn't used to evaluate your candidacy—it's a tool to help us work well together from day one.

The process might change slightly as we go along, and we'll keep you posted at all times.
