We are seeking an experienced and responsible DevOps Engineer to join our expert team working on market-leading data center IT management systems deployed across German automotive manufacturers' IT ecosystems. Our customer is a mature 30-year-old software product company that leverages the latest technologies, methodologies, and architectural patterns recommended by leading consulting firms.
Areas of ResponsibilitySupport the development team with GitHub Enterprise setup and management
Implement GitHub workflows using GitHub Actions
Deploy and maintain CI/CD infrastructure
Manage and support on-premises Kubernetes clusters and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Handle change management, resolve incidents, and troubleshoot problems
Maintain and improve existing infrastructure, applications, and tools
Analyze infrastructure to identify gaps and recommend improvements
Collaborate closely with the client’s technical team in Germany to define and implement enhancements
Solid experience with CI/CD tools and technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, Velero, and Artifactory
Hands-on experience with Terraform
Proficiency in designing GitHub workflows and implementing security features
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (on-premises and Azure), including tools like kubectl, Helm (chart creation), Cilium, Istio, and Flux
Strong familiarity with Docker container technologies
Skills in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell
Understanding of Agile methodologies, ITIL practices, and Cloud security best practices
Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus
Familiarity with build tools such as NPM and Gradle
Knowledge of tools like Flux, Keycloak, and Jira
Experience with Microsoft Enterprise applications and cloud-based deployments
Familiarity with Azure services, including AKS, ACR, GitOps, and Azure SQL
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancers, network security)
Expertise with security services such as Key Vault, Application Gateway, NSG, and Azure AD
