Middle School Wrestling Coach
Shenandoah Community Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified applicant for the position of Middle School Girls Wrestling Coach.
Position Overview
Responsibilities include coaching middle school girls in wrestling, preparing athletes for competition, demonstrating techniques, evaluating performance, promoting sportsmanship, and recruiting new participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction – coach individuals and groups in fundamental wrestling techniques and competition strategies.
- Skill Development – demonstrate proper techniques and methods of participation; evaluate athletes' strengths and weaknesses to improve technical proficiency.
- Mentorship – prepare student-athletes for competition while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
- Recruitment – identify and encourage potential recruits within the student body to grow the girls' wrestling program.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of wrestling rules, safety protocols, and training methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with middle school students, parents, and athletic administration.
- Certification – candidates must have a valid coaching authorization or coaching license or be able to obtain one before the start of the wrestling season.
