Job summary

Cass Lake-Bena Schools, ISD 115 is seeking a Junior High Coach at Cass Lake-Bena Middle School to guide practice sessions, develop athletes, and reinforce teamwork and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities include skill development, game preparation, and maintaining a positive team culture, with emphasis on academics and personal growth for student-athletes. This is a part-time seasonal position reporting to the head coaches.

Qualifications

Administrative and Communication Duties

• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and the athletic department regarding schedules, expectations, and team needs under the direction of the head coach.
• Help ensure all team members meet academic and eligibility requirements under the direction of the head coach.
• Manage the rosters, attendance, schedule, and budget, including ordering uniforms, equipment, and supplies under the direction of the head coach.
• Understanding of Google Suite for administrative duties is preferred.
• Uphold school student and athletic policies.

Working Conditions

• Must be available for after-school practices, evening games, and occasional weekend events.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions during outdoor events/indoor events.
• Physical ability to demonstrate techniques and participate in physical activities.
