Job summary

Delano Public Schools is seeking a dedicated 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball Coach to lead and supervise students during practices and matches. The season runs August 17, 2026 through October 8, 2026, with games Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays; practices may start earlier each week.

The coach will develop skill development, plan daily practices, communicate with families, and ensure a safe, engaging learn environment while implementing game strategies for competitions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a volleyball coach.
• Playing experience in volleyball.
• Knowledge of volleyball rules.
• Collaboration with varsity coach for tennis program.

Responsibilities

• Attend all practices, matches, and tournaments during the season, home and away.
• Provide supervision on buses to away events.
• Develop and implement daily practice plans.
• Assist students in developing and improving volleyball skills.
• Assess student skills to identify areas for improvement.
• Identify learning styles and adapt coaching methods.
• Create a safe, productive learning environment.
• Communicate with players and families regularly.
• Prepare game plans for each competition.
• Other duties as assigned.
