Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with game strategies and techniques.
• Motivate student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport.
• Place players in the most suitable position based on skills.
• Devise plays and strategies by leveraging players' talents.
• Study opposing teams and adapt to their strategies.
• Coach as a teacher and mentor at the middle school level.
• Manage timeouts and scorekeeping during games.
• Train assistant coaches for future head coaching roles.
• Recruit new players for the team.
• Participate in fundraising activities and uphold nondiscriminatory practices.
