Young World Physical Education is seeking a part-time Assistant Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach in Lexington, North Carolina. The role involves assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and student-athlete development.

The ideal candidate will have previous coaching experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with middle school students. This seasonal position offers a stipend based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous volleyball coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and game management.
• Must meet all district and state coaching requirements, including background checks and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting practices and matches.
• Help teach volleyball fundamentals, offensive and defensive strategies.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, travel, and team activities.
• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and character among players.
• Assist with organizing equipment, uniforms, and inventory.
• Support communication with players, parents, school staff, and administration.
• Help monitor student-athlete academic progress and behavior.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and athletic conference rules and policies.
• Assist with match preparation, scouting, and player evaluations.
• Attend coaches’ meetings, trainings, and school athletic events as requested.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all student-athletes.

Job Description

The Assistant Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and student‑athlete development. Job Requirements
