Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership seeks a passionate Visual Arts teacher for grades 6-8 in Springfield, MA. Immediate start with a base salary up to $96,864.45, commensurate with experience. The role emphasizes rigorous, standards-aligned instruction, belonging, and collaboration with teachers and families.

Requirements include a MA DESE license for Visual Arts 5-12 (or waiver eligibility) and a Bachelor’s degree. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the middle or high school level.
• Valid Massachusetts DESE license in Visual Arts 5-12 (or eligible for waiver).
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned visual arts instruction using a research-based curriculum.
• Design lessons ensuring access to grade-level content with supports.
