Job summary

Perry Township School District is seeking a Middle School Boys Assistant Track Coach to develop athletes' skills, teach strategy, and encourage character, self-discipline, and teamwork.

You will work with athletic staff on budgeting, equipment management, and facility coordination, while mentoring students and promoting the sport within the school and community.

This role requires coaching experience, a high school diploma, and a commitment to safety and positive role modeling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; previous coaching experience preferred.
• Experience with budgeting and inventory management is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor student athletes and manage teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist athletic director with budgeting for the next season.
• Manage equipment purchasing, inventory, and maintenance within budget.
• Organize preseason meetings with parents, coaches, and players.
• Promote the sport within and outside the school community.
• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills and game strategies.
• Mentor student athletes on character and team values.
• Ensure safety and supervise facilities during practices and games.
