Qualifications

• Knowledge of the sport and coaching principles for K-12 athletes.
• Recent coaching experience, preferably with students.
• Current First Aid and CPR card, or ability to obtain before start date.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership and role-model behavior.
• Ability to work with a diverse student and parent community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a program vision focused on character development and a positive athletic experience.
• Recruit student athletes for participation in the school program.
• Lead practices emphasizing proper technique and conditioning.
• Attend and supervise games and execute game strategy.
• Complete annual coaches’ trainings and stay compliant with policies.
• Model good sportsmanship and communicate effectively with teams, families, and staff.
• Organize, supervise, and evaluate practice sessions.
• Adhere to district and league rules and safety trainings.
• Maintain equipment and uniforms and manage inventory.
