Job summary

Alamance-Burlington Schools is seeking an Athletic Coach - Asst. Track at Turrentine Middle School in Burlington, NC. The role supports the athletic program, coaches student athletes, and models sportsmanship and safety during the sport season.

The position reports to the Athletic Director and Principal, requires a high school diploma and PE-related training, and involves evenings and some weekends according to the sport schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Training in Physical Education or sport required.
• Valid driver’s license required by NC DMV.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce athletic policies across the staff.
• Ensure compliance with school system, state, and conference regulations.
• Attend required meetings and coordinate trainings for staff.
• Plan conferences, clinics, and meetings to raise program awareness.
• Supervise staff duties and evaluate assistants at season’s end.
• Provide transportation coordination and scheduling for events.
