Position Overview

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Middle School Technology and Innovation teacher to join our community for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher will inspire curiosity and innovation while helping students develop a strong foundation in technology. This position will teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grades while also supporting the Middle School with technology integration in academic classes.

This role is well suited for an educator with a growth mindset who is passionate about real‑world learning. The Middle School Technology and Innovation classes will be about helping students leverage technology tools to make an impact on their learning and the world outside school. The teacher who comes into this role needs to be flexible and comfortable with modeling positive collaboration and teamwork. The courses will encourage students to engage in real problem solving and iterative design cycles where technology is one tool used to help students make an impact on things that matter.

The job opening is for August 2026

Yearly Salary range: $55,000 - $100,000

Position is a .6 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) - with option of 1.0 FTE by adding coaching or co‑curriculars.

What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field required
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level
  • Demonstrated strong classroom management and student engagement skills
  • Warm, approachable demeanor with a genuine enjoyment of working with middle school students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Specifics about the job
  • Report to and collaborate closely with the Director of Middle School
  • Teach at least 2 sections
  • Teach 6th grade Technology Skills & Innovation class, 7th & 8th grade Maker Workshop electives and 7th and 8th grade enrichment classes that focus on integrating technology skills with real‑world applications
  • Actively engage in the extracurricular life of the school as a coach, club advisor, or activity supervisor
  • Participate in class trips, clubs, and Winterim expeditions to build meaningful relationships with students and support their growth beyond the classroom
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support the mission and daily life of the School
