Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, develop curricula and create, implement, and deliver educational programs for students to achieve school goals.
• Advise, test, and teach students in a variety of subjects.
• Plan, develop and oversee community outreach programs.
• Promote programs through community networking and recruiting efforts; recruit and train tutors and teachers.
• Coordinate and implement recruitment and retention programs, special events, and support services.
• Provide financial aid/scholarship advisement for targeted student populations.
• Prioritize the student as the focal point of the classroom.
• Commit to being both a learner and leader by identifying, exploring, evaluating, and adopting new digital resources and hands‑on tools for learning.
• Establish a learning culture that promotes curiosity and critical thinking and fosters digital literacy and media fluency.
• Collaborate with colleagues and co‑learn with students to create authentic learning experiences that leverage a number of resources including technology.
• Design authentic, learner‑driven activities and environments that recognize and accommodate learner variability.
• Foster a culture where students take ownership of their learning goals and outcomes in digital platforms, virtual environments, hands‑on makerspaces or in the field.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• May require a valid Florida State teaching license in secondary education in a specific area of expertise as appropriate.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to plan and implement promotional programs.
• Ability to evaluate, design, and implement curriculum, testing, and/or teaching methodologies.
• Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.

Spiritual Requirements

Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. Must be able to demonstrate active membership and involvement in a local church.
