POSITION : MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL COUNSELOR
LOCATION : Plum Point Middle School or Mill Creek Middle School
POSITION SUMMARY : CCPS expects to have vacancies in grades 6-8 for Counselors at regional schools for a middle school summer school program. Summer school sites: Southern Middle and Windy Hill Middle.
Middle School Summer School will begin on July 7, 2025, and run through July 24, 2025. The student day will be 3.75 hours Monday through Thursday, with instruction in English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math, and Physical Education. Additional counseling support will be available. This integrated experience focuses on skills needed to access the requisite curriculum in the next grade. All instruction will be in-person.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :The pay rate is based on the 2025-2026 Workshop Pay and Special Pay for Employees.

References must be directly related to educational experience and must include immediate supervisor.
State law requires that anyone hired after October 1, 1986, who will have contact with school children, must be fingerprinted and submit to a criminal background investigation. Federal law requires that a new employee must complete the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) in person before beginning employment. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a drug screen. Current employees of the Calvert County Public Schools are exempt from these requirements.
