Job summary

Uintah School District seeks two instructional aides for Vernal Middle School. Positions are 29.5 hours per week, voucher-based with no benefits, and applicants must be 21 or older. Start date and schedule are flexible within the school year.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma; 48 college hours or an Associate’s degree or ParaPro test. Experience with at-risk students is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Associate's degree or 48 semester hours, or passing ParaPro test required.
• Experience working with at-risk students preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the education of assigned students.
• Create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth.
• Relate positively with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Assist with data collection.
• Assist with recess and/or bus duty as needed.
• Work cooperatively with all staff to insure a comfortable and pleasant working environment that will be conducive to learning and will encourage safety and good relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by school administrator.
