Job Goal

Performance Responsibilities

1. Manage an assigned student caseload to address student goals and special education services.
2. Plan and implement specially designed instruction to address core academic and life skills.
3. Deliver special education services as outlined in the student's IEP.
4. Teach the curriculum through co-teaching, direct instruction, small group, and individual interventions.
5. Instruct students in citizenship and basic subjects as per state law and district regulations.
6. Adapt materials and methods to meet individual student needs.
7. Organize and oversee the special education classroom.
8. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior for a productive classroom environment.
9. Draft and finalize compliant Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
10. Conduct annual case reviews and case conference meetings collaboratively and timely.
11. Comply with special education laws and regulations.
12. Evaluate and report on students' progress toward goals.
13. Navigate the IEP system to ensure documentation compliance.
14. Collaborate with teachers, parents, counselors, and staff to meet student needs.
15. Supervise pupils during out-of-class activities.
16. Participate in curriculum development and faculty committees.
17. Engage in professional development and serve as a positive role model.
