- At least a Bachelor's Degree
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Interest in sponsoring/coaching extracurricular activities (preferred)
Job Goal

Performance Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned student caseload to address student goals and special education services.
- Plan and implement specially designed instruction to address core academic and life skills.
- Deliver special education services as outlined in the student's IEP.
- Teach the curriculum through co-teaching, direct instruction, small group, and individual interventions.
- Instruct students in citizenship and basic subjects as per state law and district regulations.
- Adapt materials and methods to meet individual student needs.
- Organize and oversee the special education classroom.
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior for a productive classroom environment.
- Draft and finalize compliant Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct annual case reviews and case conference meetings collaboratively and timely.
- Comply with special education laws and regulations.
- Evaluate and report on students' progress toward goals.
- Navigate the IEP system to ensure documentation compliance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, counselors, and staff to meet student needs.
- Supervise pupils during out-of-class activities.
- Participate in curriculum development and faculty committees.
- Engage in professional development and serve as a positive role model.
