Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a dedicated Special Education teacher for a middle school setting (grades 6-8) for the upcoming academic year. This contract runs from August 6 to May 28, aligning with the standard school calendar and supporting up to 35 students under IEP guidelines.

You will design and deliver instruction aligned with IEPs, collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers, and participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to adapt instructional methods for diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication with students, families, and educators.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specially designed instruction per students' IEPs.
• Maintain caseload of approximately 35 students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and parent communications.
• Foster a positive, learning-focused classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom management and evidence-based interventions.
