SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has a full-time (1.0 FTE) opening for a Middle School Social Studies Teacher to teach for our Elevate Online program beginning Fall 2025.

Description

Middle School Social Studies Teacher, 1.0 FTE for 185 Contract Days.

Educate, plan, teach, facilitate, and evaluate students identified as having a disability. Many of the students exhibit social, emotional, cognitive and/or behavioral needs that require a significant level of support.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48,076-$99,188 based on the approved teacher contract. The successful candidate will be placed on the salary scale based on experience:

Job Summary

Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).

Qualifications

• Minnesota Teaching License for 6-12 Social Studies
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
• This is a remote teaching position; however, the majority of the work must be performed within the state of Minnesota. The employee will be required to develop a remote work plan that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet this requirement.
