Summary

St. Francis de Sales Catholic School seeks a responsible, energetic, and nurturing individual with experience in Math and Science. The role involves facilitating student success and growth through implementing Archdiocesan curriculum, documenting progress, addressing individual educational needs, creating a safe and flexible learning environment, and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration.

Position Details

• Location: 6802 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025
• Category: Full-time hourly contract basis
• Pay Rate: Depending on education & experience
• Reports to: School Principal
• Work Year: 2025-2026
• School days: August - May, with some additional training days
• Days Needed: M, T, W, Th, F (any or all)
• Hours per week: 40
• Job hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (additional hours for meetings, etc.)

Qualifications

• Minimum of a four-year B.A./B.S. Degree

Preferred Qualifications

• State Teacher Certification for the relevant grade level
• Three years teaching experience; middle school history preferred
• Catechist certification
• Safe Haven training

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with staff and participate in meetings
• Administer standardized tests as required

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and pedagogy
