Responsibilities

The selected candidate will possess an ability to ignite students' interest in social studies and engage students in meaningful learning opportunities through project-based inquiry.

Responsible for social studies curriculum and instruction for middle school students.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; K-8 New Hampshire elementary education certification, New Hampshire certification required 6-8 or 6-12 social studies, social studies 5-8 content specific, or ability to receive a statement of eligibility through the Department of Education.
  • Must possess knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, techniques involved in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.

Preferred: Two years or more of middle school teaching experience and experience with competency-based education.
