Job summary

Codman Academy Charter Public School in Dorchester, MA is seeking an Athletic Coach to lead middle and high school student-athletes in skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship.

The role requires knowledge of the sport, leadership, and adherence to MIAA and CACPS policies. CPR/First Aid/AED, concussion training, and coaching education are required. The stipend is $1,500 for December 2025 through February 2026.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and experience leading and organizing a team.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
• Completion of Youth Sports Concussion Training Certification.
• Successful completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Course.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct regular practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Ensure a seamless training experience for middle and high school athletes.
• Instruct student-athletes in the fundamentals of the sport while fostering personal and athletic growth.
• Ensure all middle school student-athletes meet eligibility requirements and adhere to team expectations.
• Promote leadership, integrity, and discipline among athletes.
