Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous cheerleading coaching experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to work with other coaches and receive direction from the Athletic Director
  • Must be able to relate well to middle school students, parents, school personnel and the general public
  • Must be knowledgeable of MHSAA rules and regulations
  • Must strive to boost school spirit and promote good sportsmanship
Essential Functions and Representative Duties
  • Teach techniques and fundamentals of sport.
  • Be able to demonstrate all skills necessary for the sport.
  • Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of the sport.
  • Assume the responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used.
  • Conduct structured practices that follow the guidelines of the Athletic Department.
  • Be an example of good character and sportsmanship to the team at all times.
  • Assist the Athletic Director as needed.
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
COMPENSATION:

According to the GEA Master Agreement/Schedule B Non-staff coaches are hired through GECS.
