Position: Middle School Science Teacher for grades 5-8, committed to student success and education reform. Candidates must show achievement, responsibility, and urgency to improve learning outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Integrating technology into instruction
• Preparing students for NY State Science Exam
• Developing engaging weekly lesson plans aligned with NYS standards
• Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum and instruction
• Familiarity with school charter, testing, and performance goals
• Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
• Maintaining an orderly classroom environment
• Evaluating and reporting on student growth, communicating with parents
• Participating in professional development
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills

Requirements:

• NYS Teaching Certification or reciprocity
• At least 2 years middle school teaching experience
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
• Familiarity with Microbiology/Hydroponics/Science curriculum a plus
