Job summary

Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is hiring a Middle School Math & Science teacher for the Nellis Campus in Las Vegas, NV. Start date 2026-2027; compensation range $54,000–$60,813 DOE. Deliver standards-aligned instruction, utilize data to drive instruction, and support Title I students.

The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inquiry-based classroom, collaborate with PLCs, and engage families to promote student success in a multi-state AMS network.

Qualifications

• Nevada Department of Education teaching license
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or related field
• Ability to manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual learner communities
• Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and instructional leaders

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math and science instruction
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners
• Use formative and summative assessments to guide planning and interventions
• Maintain a structured, high-expectations classroom with PBIS
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders
• Engage families through regular communication and conferences
