We're currently offering a $5,000 signing bonus for applicants hired during the 24/25 school year.

Rocky Mountain Prep is a network of twelve college preparatory charter schools in the Denver metro area, serving students from infancy through 12th grade. We are committed to democratizing college access for historically marginalized students and families, supported by a community of educators, families, scholars, and advocates dedicated to transforming public education in Colorado.

During the 2024-2025 school year, RMP aims to achieve the following goals:

  1. 85% Staff Retention
  2. 100% of campuses going green & ECE-2nd grade students growing an average of 1.25 years in math and reading
  3. 100% of seniors accepted into college
  4. 40% of 3rd-8th grade students meet their Accelerated Reader millionaire goal
  5. RMP meets its network enrollment goal
Role Mission

We seek a dedicated secondary science teacher to deliver engaging, rigorous instruction aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards. The teacher will foster an environment that encourages inquiry, investigation, data analysis, and scientific reasoning, playing a vital role in our educational team to ensure student success through the RMP Science Academic Program & Resources.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development, coaching, and feedback to improve teaching practices.
  • Maintain punctuality and preparedness for all professional obligations.

  • Build strong relationships with families through communication and engagement.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver grade-level content and interventions.
  • Participate in school initiatives, professional development, and recruitment efforts.
  • Support school operations by assisting with daily routines and safety protocols.

  • Use the Intellectual Preparation Protocol for curricular planning.
  • Work with instructional coaches to refine lessons based on feedback.
  • Continuously learn about effective science pedagogy and research.
  • Challenge students with inquiry-based tasks that promote scientific thinking.
  • Align lessons with NGSS and promote grade-level understanding.
  • Manage lab materials according to safety regulations.
  • Implement intervention strategies based on student data to support learning.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (any subject)
Other Requirements
  • Complete CDE READ Act training or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) -45 contact hours within the first year.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Preferred Certifications: E-Verify confirmation of identity and employment eligibility.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $60,000 to $89,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), disability, life insurance, PERA retirement, and paid time off.
