Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking a passionate Middle School Teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2026-2027'school year. Responsibilities include:?
- Teach middle school courses in science middle and leads an advisory.
- Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young women.
- Collaborate with other middle school teachers in the division to support student learning.
- Collaborates with math and science teachers to plan curriculum and build interest in STEM fields and enrichment.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with students, parents, staff, and community.
- Maintain appropriate records, student progress reports, and follow required procedures and practices.
- Integrate the use and care of technology, equipment, materials, and facilities adequately.
- An active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities.
- Build culturally responsive classroom that fosters a sense of belonging and ensures that all students feel respected and challenged.
- Develop, select, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse population.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in science education or general education with a concentration in science at the middle/secondary level.
- Teacher preparation program completion or certification preferred.
- Strong commitment to inquiry-based learning and laboratory investigations.
- Knowledge of best practices and strategies to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills among students.
- Familiarity or experience teaching with Next Generation Science Standards.
- Ability to inspire curiosity and a deeper understanding of the physical sciences in students.
- Commitment to embrace the school's mission and values, with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
- Willingness to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, parents, and the wider community.

Pay is?commensurate?with education and experience, and is calculated according to a school-wide pay scale. ($50,000 - $102,00)
