Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher who is passionate and inspiring. The candidate will teach and mentor fifth through eighth graders, implementing progressive STEM education and fostering social and emotional growth through an advisory program.

Position Details: Available as a part-time or full-time role, with preference for full-time given to candidates who can also teach in another subject area, such as Jewish studies, humanities, or math.
Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility:
Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School seeks a warm, passionate, and inspiring educator to serve as a Middle School Science Teacher and Grade-Level Advisor. The ideal candidate will love working with fifth through eighth grade students and have experience with design thinking, experiential and embodied learning, inquiry- and problem-based learning, and progressive STEM education. A desire to instill students with an excitement for learning and a love for science is essential. Experience with teaching technology and math through inquiry is also welcomed.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills inclusive of written and oral communication skills, and be a collaborative team player. Additionally, the candidate should be passionate about supporting and strengthening the diversity of science, technology, engineering, and outdoor education curriculum, and inspiring lifelong science learning.
This position entails being an Advisor on one of the four middle school advising teams. The Bernard Zell Advisory program strives to foster students’ social and emotional growth and well-being, supporting them both in and out of the classroom, and inspiring in them a commitment to meaningful service learning. Experience with Responsive Classroom is preferred.

Salary Range :
PT: $24,517.50 - $42,128. FT: $49,035 - $84,256.
