Job summary

Papillion La Vista Community Schools is seeking a Middle School Principal for Liberty Middle School for the 2027-2028 school year. The role provides leadership for instruction, student well-being, staff supervision, and daily operations to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.

The principal will collaborate with district leadership to advance goals, supervise staff, manage budgets, and promote high-quality teaching and learning across programs and services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Administration or related field required.
• Valid Nebraska Administrative Certificate with endorsed certification for the position.
• Minimum of five years of successful education experience, including teaching and admin roles.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for developing and reviewing school goals aligned with district priorities.
• Acts as instructional leader promoting high-quality teaching and learning.
• Supervises and evaluates staff per district policies and applicable laws.
• Fosters collaboration and distributed leadership for school improvement.
• Maintains a safe, inclusive school environment and oversees daily operations.
• Leads behavior support and intervention practices with district alignment.
• Supports academic, social-emotional, and developmental needs of students.
• Manages building budgets, resources, and facilities per district procedures.
• Represents the school and district at meetings and events.
