Job summary

Westminster Schools of Augusta is seeking a Middle School Pickleball Coach for the 2026-27 season within the Athletic Department. This is a paid position and may be combined with teaching or administrative duties depending on qualifications and gifting. Community coaches may also be considered.

The coach will develop a Christ-centered pickleball program that emphasizes athletic excellence, spiritual growth, character, and a positive student-athlete experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Fully supports Westminster's mission and values.
• Models Christian character and integrity in all aspects of life.
• Experience coaching or mentoring student-athletes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the middle school pickleball program.
• Recruit, develop, and supervise assistant coaches in collaboration with the Athletic Department.
• Plan, organize, and conduct effective daily practices and training sessions.
• Prepare athletes and teams for competition through strategic planning and match preparation.
• Scout opponents and develop competitive game plans.
• Foster the spiritual growth and Christian character development of student-athletes.
• Encourage athletes to develop their God-given talents to their fullest potential.
• Serve as a positive representative of Westminster Schools both on and off campus.
• Analyze team and individual performance to support ongoing development.
• Manage the program budget responsibly and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all GIAA rules, regulations, and policies.
• Complete all administrative responsibilities required by the Athletic Department.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and families.
• Assist student-athletes and families with the college recruiting process when appropriate.
