Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our instructional team as a Teacher. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality education to our students, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve our school’s goals. Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Classroom Management: Effectively manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment; implement behavior management strategies; establish routines; resolve conflicts.
  • Instructional Delivery: Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with standards; adapt instruction for diverse needs; utilize varied strategies; grade assignments fairly.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress; provide support; develop assessments; give constructive feedback; address academic and social-emotional needs.
  • Communication: Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and staff; conduct parent conferences; utilize communication channels; share information effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work with staff; participate in team meetings and school initiatives.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training; stay current with best practices.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete attendance, enforce rules, ensure safety, follow emergency procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • California teaching credential or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience working with children/youth preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Mastery of subject matter.
  • Experience in charter schools is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Dexterity for operating a computer.
  • Bending, kneeling, crouching.
  • Accessing facilities; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Compensation

The salary range is $65,000 - $94,500, commensurate with experience. A competitive benefits package is included. This is a full-time, exempt, in-person role.
