DESCRIPTION: The one-to-one para educator assists the classroom teacher by providing instructional support to students identified as needing instructional, behavioral and physical support and related work as necessary to meet the specific needs of the students.
Works under the supervision of certified school personnel and under the general supervision of the principal. The performance of these functions may require the exercise of independent judgment of the High Needs Paraprofessional in a range of instructional, supervision and other assigned duties.
Evaluated by the Principal or designee.
Typical school setting (classroom, hallway, cafeteria, etc.) plus work place and community access support.
