Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid or eligible Florida Teaching Certification in Middle Grades General Math (5-9) or Math (6-12).
• Background Screening through Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Math Education, STEM, or related subject area.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned daily middle school math lessons.
• Establish routines and implement schoolwide behavior systems with fidelity in a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners (ESE, 504, ELL) with required accommodations and modifications.
• Actively engage families as partners in learning through consistent communication regarding student progress.
• Submit lesson plans, student data, and compliance documentation on time; participate in weekly PD, department check-ins, and coaching sessions.
