A prestigious preparatory school in New York is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher for grades 6-8. Middle School Math Teacher
The Middle School Math Teacher will teach grades 6-8. We utilize the Illustrative Mathematics problem-based approach, which emphasizes collaborative sense-making and rich opportunities for discourse, as well as building upon the flexible thinking and number sense developed in elementary grades. We expect the new hire to honor student thinking and curiosity as they discover the many patterns that unveil the big ideas of middle school mathematics.
