Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of classroom teaching experience in middle school.
• Commitment to anti-racist, anti-bias curriculum and green culture.
• Experience with Responsive Classroom and/or Developmental Designs.
• Experience with environmental education and technology integration.
• Strong organizational skills and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement GUGCS curricular programs.
• Collaborate with grade team to integrate curricula across subjects.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners.
• Adhere to grade-wide pacing calendars.
• Maintain records of assessments and portfolios.
• Administer interim assessments and use data to adjust plans.
• Lead advisory group and participate in meetings.
• Partner with Special Education staff to support learning.
• Plan weekly lessons and create UbD-based units.
• Engage families and maintain an engaging classroom.
