Indian Prairie School District 204Plan and instruct students on district and state standards aligned curriculum.Develop lesson plans and goals that meet district expectations.Enrich or modify lessons, curriculum, materials, and resources as needed to meet individual student needs and varying levels of progress.Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress. Administer standardized assessments as directed. Interpret student assessment data for instructional planning and monitoring.Review student progress via assessments, maintain records of student work, and develop intervention strategies to support student success and growth.Communicate with parents and students regarding progress, both verbally and in writing.Collaborate regularly with other teachers and support staff to plan instruction and integrate lessons across subjects.Work with support teachers, assistants, and specialists to discuss student modifications, ongoing issues, and interventions to meet individual needs.Assign work to student teachers and volunteers, assess and provide feedback on their work.Participate in building and district committees, providing feedback and acting as a liaison.Set clear classroom expectations and manage the environment using positive behavior supports and interventions.Collaborate on curriculum planning, modifications, and school/district objectives.Create a safe, positive learning environment and model appropriate social, emotional, and physical behaviors.Enforce school policies and support school philosophies and objectives.Engage in professional development and school improvement activities, incorporating best practices and new strategies.Participate in extracurricular activities such as orientation, open houses, and conferences.Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsements in Math (6-8) and Social Studies (6-8).
