Job summary

Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 is seeking a dedicated LBSI teacher for a full-time, 1.0 FTE position at Timber Ridge Middle School. The role focuses on planning and delivering standards-aligned instruction, managing a caseload, and engaging with families to monitor student progress.

You will lead IEP meetings, implement intervention strategies, and collaborate with staff to meet each student’s needs in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Plans and delivers instruction aligned to Illinois standards.
• Manages a caseload and coordinates with staff and families.
• Communicates progress with parents and students in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Chair IEP meetings and manage caseload.
• Plan and instruct students on District and Illinois State Standards aligned curriculum.
• Communicate both verbally and in writing with parents and students on progress.
• Diligent in entering student grade information into appropriate computer databases in a timely manner.
• Develop lesson plans and goals that meet District expectations.
• Conduct and interpret formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress and develop intervention strategies.
• Meet regularly with teachers, paraprofessionals and specialists to discuss individual student's needs.
• Set expectations and maintain a safe learning environment.
