Job summary

Clear Creek Amana CSD in Oxford, Iowa is seeking a long-term substitute teacher focused on intervention and elective areas for grades 6–8. You will provide instruction during a teacher's absence at Clear Creek Amana Middle School.

The role requires Iowa licensure including a substitute certificate, and experience in classroom teaching. The position is full-time with immediate starting date and benefits as per district policy.

Qualifications

• Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Certificate.
• Experience in classroom teaching PreK 12th grade preferred.
• Initiative to be a self starter.

Responsibilities

• In the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills.
• Follow behavior management plans for students.
• Assists and collaborates with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals.
• Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.
• Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Iowa Substitute Certificate

High School/Trade School degree preferred
