Job summary

International Leadership of Texas is seeking an instructional assistant to provide instructional support to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. You will help prepare, conduct, and manage classroom activities and assist with materials, displays, and tests.

The role involves supervising students throughout the day, communicating effectively, and participating in staff development programs.

Qualifications

Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
Ability to work well with children and communicate effectively.
Experience with students preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
Help maintain neat and orderly classroom; inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Help supervise students throughout the school day (lunchroom, bus, playground).
Participate in staff development training and faculty meetings.
